I soldered a bunch of wires from the engine wiring harness to the chassis wiring harness today. There isn't much cool stuff to take a photo of with that. I also worked on assembling the air intake. First tricky part about that was finding the parts. I thought I had lost something but eventually realized these parts didn't come with the Factory Five Coyote parts pack and they didn't come from Forte, the guy I bought all the engine and transmission parts from. I had to buy them separately. So once I got them, I started putting them together but then found that the air filter I was sent (with the engine I believe) didn't fit and I had to order another size air filter. While that is making its way here, this is what the air intake looks like so far:
The filter will go on the left port. That black square is that back of the mass air flow sensor. The step down connector on the top right will connect to the throttle body of the engine.

Coyote Power Distribution Module
June 26, 2014 -
Today I finished wiring in the power distribution module which attaches to the Coyote (engine) wiring harness that comes off of the computer. I put it in with the labels and lights facing up just above and right of the steering shaft on the cockpit side of the firewall. I used 3/16" rivets to attach it to the firewall and put the rivets in with the "good looking" side on the engine bay side of the firewall since one might sometimes see that but I don't think anyone will see behind the dash on the cockpit side of the firewall. Here it is:
I also got the connectors and hose clamps I needed to put the last coolant hose on the heater. Here are the two heater hoses hooked up:

ECU / Engine Computer / Engine Brains
June 24, 2014 -
Today I put in the ECU / Engine Computer, or the brains of the engine. Instead of trying to fashion brackets from the spare thin aluminum I went to the hardware store and bought thicker steel L brackets. These still needed drilling and hacksaw cutting to make them a size that would look good. Cutting them with a hacksaw was much easier when a channel was cut with the Dremel tool first. Then I put the cables in and connected them so you can see how many wires are involved in the attached wire harness. (Well in future pictures you'll better see how many wires are coming off this wire harness. Here I zoomed in so you could see the computer and the brackets better.)

Heater 3 and Fuel Lines
June 22, 2014 -
Today I got the heater cores through the firewall and the fuel pressure regulator mounted and the fuel lines connected! Check it out:

Heater
June 18, 2014 -
It has been far too long. To be honest I hemmed and hawed about how to put in this heater from Vintage Air. One is probably better off using the Factory Five heater because the cores are pointed in an easier direction to work with. Anyways, I finally decided to go with the Factory Five method of splitting the blower and core across the firewall. It took me about 5 or 6 days of cutting with the Dremel to make the hole because I used an extra thick firewall. Here is the hole:
